. The Society operates within the municipal command of the Municipality of Veržej and is a member of the Ljutomer Fire Association. There are more than 150 members in the society, both active and supportive. Of these, there are 35 pioneers and juniors, 8 of them are trainee firefighters, and 15 are operational members. The Society is currently with a Man of the MAN fire truck with 7200 liters of fire water, with a Mercedes Transport vehicle and a fire truck for transporting a portable motor sprinkler. In 2021, the Society also completed the renovation of the image of the fire station by arranging the facade and installing new doors. In 2003, the Society also signed a twinning document with firefighters from Oplotnica, with whom they still cooperate very well today.

History:

The Banovci Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded back in 1900. The association was initially united with the neighboring Society from Grlava. In 1902, the Society purchased the first motor sprayer, and in 1905 they also got a motor sprinkler in Grlava. Although the associations had one leadership, they nevertheless worked separately and had each of their equipment. Only after 35 years, the units decided and established each of their own independent firefighting society. Even then, Banovan firefighters expressed their desire for a new tool vehicle, but this wish came true in 40 years.

In 1908, the construction of a firehouse began in Banovci, which has been upgraded several times over the years. In 1961, they also had the first general assembly at the fire station, and the home itself was completed and dedicated to its purpose in 1969. The year after that, the Society also developed the first social flag. In 1975, the first tool vehicle was also brought to Banovce, and the same year they acquired a new motor sprayer. After that, a tool vehicle with a TAM 150 fire truck was replaced in 2000, and in 2007, the Magirus VW portable motor sprayer was also purchased. In 2010, firefighters also reached the Mercedes Sprinter transport vehicle, and in 2021 the trailer also bought a trailer to transport a portable motor sprinkler. Due to the outdated vehicle, in 2020, an old vehicle was also replaced with a new MAN firefighter. The vehicle was bought by Banovo firefighters from the twin firefighting society from Oplotnica.
