dr. Tone Ferenc (1927 - 2003) was one of the most prolific Slovene historians and the best expert in the history of World War II and the National Liberation War in Slovenia.

in 1956, after graduation at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, he took a job as an archivist at the Museum of National Liberation in Ljubljana. Three years later, he began working at the then Institute for the History of the Labor Movement, where he remained with short breaks until his retirement in 1997. During this time, in 1965, he received his doctorate in recent Slovenian history (“ in Slovenia in 1941 - 1945´ <). His bibliography counts over 700 units, of which over 20 of which are authorized or co -authored books and numerous discussions in foreign languages ​​and contributions at international conferences.
